Sand Planet Zine

Sand Planet Zine is a collection of works showcasing our love for both Trigun and Vocaloid! It is open to pieces based on individual vocaloid songs, pieces with both Trigun characters and vocal synths, and crossover AUs/ character designs!

FAQ

What is a Zine?

A Zine is a collection of works, in this case by many creators. They are often based on fandoms, even back to the beginning, having been started by Star Trek fans in the 1930s.

How old do I have to be to Participate?

We ask that all contributers be at least 18.

Can I apply for multiple positions?

Yes! feel free to apply for as many positions as you would like, but keep in mind that you will only be accepted to one, as we would like to give other people the opportunity to participate in the zine.

Is there any content that is off-limits?

Yes. We will not allow any incest, pedophilia, non-con, racism (including whitewashing), homophobia, transphobia or any content using suggestive songs that use voicebanks that are recorded by minors. We will also not allow any explicit NSFW content, however, songs with suggestive material are allowed to be referenced, but will be looked at on a case-by-case basis. For example if you wanted to create a piece based on the song Romeo and Cinderella. We also reserve the right to ask people to leave the project if they begin to make other contributors uncomfortable.

Are lesser-known songs or vocal synth characters allowed?

Yes! You can use this zine as a way to promote a more unknown producers and we plan on making a space at the end to write down which song your piece is based on (if it is based on one). If possible, we would also like to create a playlist of all songs included in the zine.

Are related series that use vocaloids or are by vocaloid producers allowed to be included?

Song series using vocaloids are allowed (what kind of vocaloid zine would be be if daughter of evil wasn't allowed!). This includes Kagerou Project, The Evillious Chronicals, Night ∞ Series, etc. However please refrain from using series that don't use vocaloids, such as MILGRAM, even though Deco*27 worked on it.
As for Project Sekai: Songs created specificly for the game will be allowed, however, please don't include characters from the game (obviously excluding the virtual singers). AUs inspired by it are fine.

Will ships be allowed?

Ships will be allowed on a case-by-case basis and it is preferred that they have something to do with a song if you do choose to make ship content. For example, if you were to create a piece based on the song Magnet using Meryl and MIlly.

How will contributers be compensated and will they retain rights to theor work?

All contributers will recieve a digital copy of the zine, if sales break even and we end up being able to make a physical zine, all contributed will receive a physical copy of the zine as well. If we have merch made it will be sold to contributors at production cost.
All contributors have rights to their own art but we do ask contributers not to post the pieces they make for the zine until preorders are finished. After the project is finished you can do whatever you would like with you artwork.

I have another question, how can I ask?

Feel free to email us at [email protected] or dm us on any of our socials!
